ORANGE COUNTY, N.C. — A pedestrian was killed early Saturday morning after a vehicle hit him on an area interstate.
Authorities said that 19-year-old Alexander Kimball had car trouble on Interstate 85 northbound in Orange County around 5:30 a.m. Saturday. He was walking in the travel lane of the interstate when he was hit by an incoming vehicle, said authorities.
Kimball was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. Authorities said that alcohol was not involved, and there will be no charges filed in the incident.
