Two Injured In Beltline Collision

RALEIGH, N.C. — Two people were injured in a collision that temporarily shut down the Inner I-440 Beltline early Saturday morning.

Raleigh police said the accident involving a dump truck and two other vehicles occurred between Six Forks Road and Wake Forest Road around 7 a.m.

Adrienne Judd Howell was taken to WakeMed, where she was listed in serious condition late Saturday afternoon. One other person suffered minor injuries.

A man who allegedly fled the scene of the collision on foot was later located and arrested by police on Six Forks Road.

Traffic was detoured onto Six Forks Road until the scene was cleared about three hours after the accident. The collision is still under investigation.
