FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Two men from Cumberland County are in trouble with the law for alleged sex crimes.

According to the Cumberland County Sheriff's Office, Thomas Milton Combs, 41, now faces 20 additional sex charges.

Combs has been accused of raping his girlfriend's 10-year-old daughter. Investigators said the incidents began in November 1999.

Combs was jailed earlier in the year for those crimes and charged with numerous counts of second-degree rape and second-degree sex offense. He has now been charged with taking indecent liberties with a minor, sexual acts by a substitute parent and first-degree forcible rape of a child.

Combs is currently in the Cumberland County Jail under $1.4 million bond.

Another Cumberland County man is accused of sex crimes with his girlfriend's child.

Authorities said Johnny Ray Murdock, 38, of Hope Mills, is charged with taking indecent liberties with a child, sexual acts by a substitute parent, first-degree rape of a child and assault inflicting serious injury.

Murdock is in jail on a $250,000 bond.
