Globalization's Impact On Healthcare, Life Sciences Is Topic For Upcoming Forum

RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C. — Senior executives from Duke Health System, Pappas Ventures, IBM and Quintiles will discuss the impact of globalization and innovation on the healthcare and life science industries at an upcoming forum discussion.

The Council for Entrepreneurial Development and the North Carolina Chinese Business Association are co-sponsoring the event. It is set for 6-9 PM on Aug. 15 at the North Carolina Biotechnology Center.

Panelists include Victor Dzau, chancellor for Health Affairs, Duke University and chief executive officer of Duke Healthcare; Art Pappas, managing partner of venture capital firm Pappas Ventures; Dan Pelino, general manager of IBM Healthcare and Life Sciences Industry; and John Ratliff, executive vice president and chief financial officer of Quintiles Transnational Corp.

The program will be moderated by Grace Ueng, CEO of Savvy Marketing Group.
