ORANGE COUNTY, N.C. — The Orange County Water and Sewer Authority is looking into what caused a wastewater spill.
A pipe broke Wednesday night at a pumping station inside the Mason Farm Wastewater Treatment Plant.
Close to 450,000 gallons of partially treated wastewater spilled into Morgan Creek.
The spill was contained a short time later.
