Woman Crashes Car After Wrong-Way Drive Down Raleigh Street

RALEIGH, N.C. — Authorities said a woman was injured late Saturday morning after driving a vehicle the wrong direction on a Raleigh street and then crashing.

According to police, the woman drove her blue Mazda sedan the wrong way on Edenton Street just before noon, striking at least three vehicles on the roadway. The woman finally came to a stop when she allegedly hit a guardrail at the intersection of New Bern Avenue and Interstate 440.

Police said the woman was taken to WakeMed. There is no word about further injuries or any possible charges in the case.
