RALEIGH, N.C. — The trial of a teen accused in the drug overdose of a friend resumes Monday.
A Cary teen is charged with second-degree murder in the death of 16-year-old Erika Hicks. She died in October from a lethal combination of illegal drugs.
Witnesses testified Hicks took Ecstasy and cocaine with the defendant before she died.
A witness also testified Hicks' mother shared marijuana and Xanax with her daughter and the defendant.
