Teens Accused Of Stealing Drugs From Raleigh Animal Hospital

RALEIGH, N.C. — Two teens were arrested for allegedly stealing drugs from a veterinary hospital.

Wake County sheriff's deputies arrested Stephen Vorwerk and Kaylyn McCracken.

The two were reportedly caught with $4,000 worth of medication typically used to treat animals. The drugs are generally used for pain and depression.

Authorities said Vorwerk stole them from Swift Creek Animal Hospital in Raleigh, where he worked.

McCrackan was convicted of possession of drug paraphernalia, a misdemeanor.

Vorwerk was convicted of breaking and entering and possession of controlled substances. He was sentenced to up to six months in jail.
