DURHAM, N.C. — The North Carolina Highway Patrol is asking for the public's assistance in finding a driver who hit a young boy on a bike and kept going.
Officers said the 12-year-old victim was riding bicycles with his mother and a friend on Guess Road in Durham on Saturday morning when a female driver swerved off the road, hitting the boy.
Investigators said the woman was driving a tan mid-sized sedan that likely has right front end damage.
The boy was listed in stable condition at Duke Hospital on Monday.
