Posted Updated

RALEIGH, N.C. — State lawmakers are under pressure to address ethics and lobbying reform in the General Assembly before they adjourn for the legislative session.

Both the state House and Senate want to finish up the current legislative session by Friday, but the Senate still has to consider legislation about campaign finance, campaign ethics and lobbying reform.

Legislators must work through and consider many minute details, which include, banning gift-giving to lawmakers and immediate family members.
