WAYNE COUNTY, N.C. — Authorities said a verbal argument led to a shooting in Wayne County.
Deputies were called out to a shooting at a Dudley subdivision Saturday afternoon. When they arrived, they found Darrell Antonio Darden, 20, with a gunshot wound to the head.
Darden was taken to the hospital, where he underwent surgery. He was listed in critical condition Monday morning.
Police arrested Danny Maurice Taylor, 18, and charged him with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill, inflicting serious injury.
