RALEIGH, N.C. — An administrative law judge is in trouble after an accident that shut down a busy Raleigh intersection.

Beryl Wade was reportedly charged with DWI and failure to reduce speed. Officers said she fell asleep after her vehicle hit another car at New Bern Avenue and Raleigh Boulevard Tuesday.

The second vehicle hit a light pole. No one was hurt.

Wade works for the North Carolina Office of Administrative Hearings. She once served as a lawyer for former Gov. Jim Hunt.
