Notre Dame sports information officials said Corrigan has not yet spoken with Duke officials. Sources say Corrigan's father previously played lacrosse at Duke.

Hofstra University coach John Danowski is also in the running for the coaching job. Hofstra officials have given him permission to talk to Duke. Danowski has coached at Hofstra for 21 years. His son, Matt, is a rising senior on Duke's lacrosse team.
Duke athletic director Joe Alleva told WRAL Thursday he has a number of outstanding candidates. He says the school is looking for a coach who can instill in players the values of athletic, academic and social excellence.
In the past, Alleva has said there is no timetable for hiring a new head coach, saying the school will take their time to get the right person for the job.
Duke officials are trying to fill the head coaching vacancy left by the resignation of former coach Mike Pressler in April. Pressler submitted his resignation to Duke president Richard Brodhead after details emerged in the rape investigation that subsequently led to the indictments of three former lacrosse players.
Former assistant coach Kevin Cassese was appointed as interim head coach in June after Broadhead cleared the way for the team to return to play next season.
