Car Crashes Into Utility Pole In Raleigh

RALEIGH, N.C. — Investigators are sorting out the details after an overnight accident in Raleigh.

The accident happened on New Bern Avenue near Raleigh Boulevard around 1 a.m. Wednesday.

Authorities said the driver hit a utility pole which has to be replaced.

Police have arrested the driver, saying she was impaired, but they have not said whether it involved drugs or alcohol.

That part of the road was closed for several hours, but has since reopened. The driver was not hurt in the accident.
