Meat-Tampering Suspect Pleads Guilty

RALEIGH, N.C. — A man caught injecting a substance into a pack of meat pleaded guilty in court Monday.

Police arrested Charone Josey after the incident in May.

According to test results, sugar water was injected into a package of meat at the Food Lion on Avent Ferry Road in Raleigh.

On Monday, Josey pleaded guilty to injury to personal property. He was sentenced to the 53 days he has already spent in jail.
