2012's baby No. 1 checks in at 12:12
Rushil Kelapure arrived at Rex Hospital at 12:12 a.m. on the first day of 2012, giving his parents the distinction of having the first Triangle baby of the new year.

RALEIGH, N.C. — The Triangle's first baby of 2012 arrived at – wait for it – 12:12 a.m. at Rex Hospital.
Renuka Kelapure delivered her son Rushil, who weighed 6 pounds, 12 ounces, on Jan. 1. Her husband is Rohit.
The family lives in Morrisville.
A check with area hospitals found that Rushil was the year's No. 1 baby.
