Woman Substance Abuse Program Gets Financial Help From Wake County

RALEIGH, N.C. — A substance abuse program for women got a major boost Monday from Wake County.

The Healing Place of Wake County

plans to open a 100-bed treatment center for women late next year.

Wake County commissioners voted to contribute $1 million toward construction costs over the next four years.

The facility will likely be built on county property off Poole Road.

The Healing Place hopes to break ground in January.
