Speed Plays Role In Deadly Wake County Car Accident

Posted Updated

RALEIGH, N.C. — Raleigh police say speed played a factor in a single-car accident on Christmas Day that killed the driver.

According to investigators, 41-year-old Lisa Narron was driving east on Millbrook Road when she lost control of her Isuzu Trooper at the intersection of Millbrook and Knollwood Roads.

Long skid marks leading up to the point where the SUV landed on its side were visible on Millbrook Road.

Police said Narron was ejected from the vehicle after it rolled several times. She died at the scene.

Narron's passenger, 39-year-old Phillip Johnson, wasn't hurt and didn't require medical attention.

Police are investigating whether or not alcohol played a role in the crash.
