Four Charged After Allegedly Shooting At Raleigh School Buses

RALEIGH, N.C. — Three teenagers and a juvenile face charges for allegedly shooting BB guns at two school buses.

Tory Borek, Philip Letterman and Mark Cortes face several charges, including discharging a firearm into an occupied vehicle. A juvenile, whose name has not been released, was also arrested.

Borek, Letterman and Cortes posted bond Monday. But the judge slapped them with a 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. curfew until they go to trial in mid-January.

Police say the teens allegedly used BB guns to shoot at the rear window of a school bus Friday near Spring Forest Road and Falls of the Neuse Road.

Police say another bus shooting took place later near Lynn Road and Six Forks Road. Police say a BB pellet was fired at the front window of the bus, injuring the driver, but he did not require medical attention.

Michael Ray's 6-year-old daughter, Erica, was on one of the buses that was fired on.

"Not only my child, but anybody else's child, could have been hit or killed," he said.

Both buses were occupied by several students at the time, but none of them were hurt.
