CARY, N.C. — Authorities said heavy rain and standing water contributed to a crash Friday morning on U.S. 1 North in Cary.
The driver of an SUV said he was approaching the Highway 64/Tryon Road exit when he hydroplaned. The SUV ended up on the guardrail.
No one was hurt. Traffic backed up for about a mile as crews cleared the wreckage.
