CUMBERLAND COUNTY, N.C. — A Cumberland County man died Monday night in a mobile home fire.
Officials say 72-year-old Bobby Willis died when his Jericho Road home went up in flames.
Neighbors and family ran to the home, but it was too late. They say the smoke, coupled with the fire, was just too intense to save the man.
Investigators believe the fire started in the living room. They say the home was so damaged they might never know the exact cause.
