Wayne County Football Fans To See Heightened Security At Games

Posted Updated

WAYNE COUNTY, N.C. — Local high school football fans in Wayne County can expect tighter security at Friday's games.

Last week, a man shot another man in the leg during a game at Goldsboro High School. Neither person was a student at the school.

Friday's games at Eastern Wayne High School and Southern Wayne High School will likely have metal detectors at the gates. The county is also looking at ways to improve lighting at some schools.

There is no home game at Goldsboro High Friday night.
