Wake School Board Approves Block Scheduling

Posted Updated

RALEIGH,N.C. — Wake County school board members approved block scheduling Tuesday evening.

Next year, students will take four 90-minute classes each semester, instead of six shorter ones each year.

The goal is to allow students to take more classes, and retake the ones they fail.

The board wants to know how parents feel about the schedule change. Schools will be explaining the plan to parents and will report feedback to the board in December.
