Army Museum Launches Gift Shop Catalog

Posted Updated

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — After requests from around the world, Fayetteville's

Airborne & Special Operations Museum

has launched a catalog for its popular gift shop.

Leaders of the Army museum said they were getting requests for merchandise from as far away as Taiwan and Belgium.

Veterans and soldiers also told the museum they could not find genuine Army merchandise anywhere else.

"I was getting phone calls and letters. They'd pull up on the Web site and see about the museum and shop and they'd call and check and we'll fill them over the phone," said Sylvia Finch, gift shop manager.

The musuem is approaching its second anniversary. Its 900-square- foot gift shop has already sold more than $1 million in merchandise.

Catalogs can be picked up at the museum, or requested by

e-mail

or calling by (910) 483-3003 ext. 235 during museum hours.
