OXFORD, NC — Fire officials say a sparkler touched off a brush fire in Granville County Thursday night.
The blaze burned 125 acres just off Highway 96 north of Oxford.
Charred ground and small plumes of smoke remain near Christy's Way.
The Granville County Fire Marshal is investigating the incident, and charges may be filed.
No one was hurt in the fire.
