Chapel Hill Pit Bulls Returned To Owner

Posted Updated

DURHAM, N.C. — Two Chapel Hill pit bulls that have been in and out of trouble since March are back with their owner.

The Durham County Animal Shelter released Roscoe and Cisco to Ralph Logner Thursday night.

On Tuesday, the latest incident involving the pit bulls took place.Logner's friend was keeping the dogs in Durham County when they ate through a fence and attacked a Shar-Pei living next door.

Roscoe and Cisco are accused of mauling two different dogs in Orange County.

If all three attacks had happened in the same county, the dogs would have been euthanized by now.

Instead, they have been deemed "potentially dangerous." That means Logner must keep the dogs confined.

Logner said he is taking the dogs to Florida.

Once Durham Animal Control confirms the dogs are in Florida, the dogs' files will be transferred to local animal control authorities there.
