Cary Goes To Bat To Help Bring USA Baseball To Triangle

CARY, N.C. — Cary may drive in the winning run that could bring USA Baseball to the Triangle.

Last month, representatives of the the governing board of amateur baseball were in the Triangle, touring baseball complexes around the area.

The organization is looking for a new location for its headquarters.

Cary may expand one of its baseball complexes to help with the Triangle's bid.

The project could cost more than $4 million.

The move to the Triangle could have an annual economic impact of $10 million.

USA Baseball is also considering locations in Florida, Georgia and Maryland. A decision on a location is expected by June 1.
