Barbecue Company Recalling Pork For Undeclared Allergen

RALEIGH, N.C. — Radd Dew's Bar-B-Q Pit, of Conway, S.C., is recalling 7,000 pounds of barbecue pork after the U.S. Department of Agriculture discovered that it contains anchovies, an undeclared allergen.

The products being recalled are:

  • 1-pound tubs of Radd Dew's Electric Pit Cooked Pork Barbecue with Barbecue Sauce," distributed to retail stores in North Carolina and South Carolina.
  • 10-pound tubs of Radd Dew's Electric Pit Cooked Pork Barbecue with Barbecue Sauce," distributed to retail stores in North Carolina and South Carolina.
  • Anchovies are a known allergen. Persons who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to anchovies run a risk of an allergic reaction if they consume this product.
