GARNER, N.C. — Wake County inspectors closed Jumbo China on Garner Station Boulevard in Garner three weeks ago. The county health department just released its report.

Some of the sanitation violations include:

  • Raw chicken thawing on a pushcart above broccoli
  • Rice noodles in a bucket of water sitting on the floor
  • Dirty dishes, utensils and equipment
  • Jumbo China scored a 63.5. A 70 is the lowest possible passing score. Three days later, the restaurant was allowed to re-open, where it posted a 93, which is an 'A'.
