Girl Rescued From Burning Car In Nash County Being Released From Hospital

NASH COUNTY, N.C. — One of the four young girls rescued from a burning car in Nash County is going home Wednesday.

Ashley and Natalie Cone, along with Rachael Bissette and Skye Russell, were trapped inside their stepmother's Jeep after an accident Saturday afternoon on Highway 64.

Several people stopped to help pull the girls from the burning car. Ashley Cone is being released from UNC's Children's Hospital on Wednesday.

The woman who caused the accident was killed in the crash. Investigators said alcohol may have played a part in the crash.
