Cary Man Helps Movie Lovers Get Best Prices On DVDs

DVDs are very popular these days. They offer much higher quality than VHS tapes and include a lot more features. Greg Bottorff runs a Web site,

, with his brother in Cincinnati. Bottorff works hard finding the best deals from dozens of online DVD retailers, then posts them on BargainFlix.

"Every night, we get an upload of, it could be anywhere from, five DVD price changes to 10,000 DVD price changes," he said.

The business started three years ago as a hobby. Bottorff and his brother wanted the best prices they could get. Now, they share what they know on their Web site and with an e-mail newsletter.

"For BargainFlix.com, we've got roughly 18,000 subscribers to our newsletter and that's just a weekly newsletter that we fire off to those subscribers to alert them of the week's best deals," he said.

Bottorff said 100,000 people visit the Web site each month to find deals.

"We have a price comparison search engine within our site where a visitor can stop by and check on the prices of DVD movies at various retailers," he said.

Bottorff and his brother operate five other Web sites, most dealing with console games.
