FAYETTEVILLE — The Fayetteville Patriots host their first preseason game at the Crown Coliseum Tuesday night against the Roanoke Dazzle.
The Patriots are one of eight southeastern franchises in the NBA's new minor league called the
National Basketball Developmental League
or NBDL.
Tuesday's game will help raise funds to benefit soldiers and family members in the Fort Bragg and Pope Air Force Base communities.
The NBDL was designed as a way for players age 20 and older to develop their skills. The season
officially begins
on Friday.
