Posted Updated

RALEIGH, N.C. — Tourism officials says the state's major tourist attractions are benefitting from people who are willing to drive but will not fly.

Tourist attractions such as the Carowinds Amusement Park near Charlotte, the Biltmore House in Asheville and Chimney Rock are seeing an upswing in visitors.

Officials said the trend will likely continue into next year.
