CHAPEL HILL, N.C. — After a year of bickering and bargaining, the Chapel Hill town council has finally approved an expansion plan for UNC.
The town council voted in favor of the plan 8 to 1. The expansion will add six million square feet to the University of North Carolina. It will include a new arts commons, a new science complex and student family housing.
The multi-billion dollar plan will take at least 10 years to complete.
