Perdue reports $2.34M in campaign contributions
More than $800,000 came from women, who account for more than half of all second-quarter donors, the lieutenant governor's campaign said.

Democratic gubernatorial candidate Lt. Gov. Beverly Perdue's campaign reported Thursday more than $2.4 million in campaign contributions for the second quarter with more than $1.4 million on hand.
More than $800,000 came from women, who account for more than half of all second-quarter donors, the campaign said. The second quarter ended June 30.
Donations came from 95 counties, with $128,620 from Mecklenburg County, the campaign said.
That's where Perdue's Republican challenger, Pat McCrory, serves as Charlotte mayor.
McCrory reports having more than $700,000 in campaign cash at the end of June, about half the amount available to his Democratic rival.
McCrory's campaign said Friday he raised more than $1 million in the second quarter.
Campaign manager Richard Hudson pointed out the Charlotte mayor had raised more in that three-month period than the party's two previous nominees.
