GREENSBORO, N.C. — Vice presidential nominee Paul Ryan is expected to make a brief appearance in Greensboro Tuesday evening on his way to a campaign event in Virginia, Mitt Romney's presidential campaign said Monday evening.

Ryan is scheduled to land at Piedmont Triad International Airport around 7:50 p.m.

A campaign spokesman said the Greensboro stop is logistical, and it wasn't clear whether Ryan would make any comments or take questions from the media.

Details of his visit to Virginia on Wednesday were not immediately available.
