ASHEBORO, N.C. — The North Carolina Zoo set a best-ever Good-Friday attendance record and had its second-best attendance ever for the three-day Easter weekend, less than 200 visitors short of the record 29,256 set in 1995.
The zoo is located southeast of Asheboro off U.S. 220 and U.S. 64. Hours from April through September are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.
