RALEIGH, N.C. — Sen. Kay Hagan visited Raleigh on President's Day to present some long-delayed honors to a former sailor.

Archie Johnson earned three medals for his service in the Navy during Vietnam. He was supposed to receive them in the late 1970s, but, he said, they were overlooked.

Hagan presented Johnson with his medals Monday at the VFW State Headquarters.
