Food shuttle plans 'Turkey Takeout'

RALEIGH, N.C. — The Inter-Faith Food Shuttle in Raleigh will distribute Thanksgiving dinners for 500 families Friday to its partner agencies including soup kitchens, food pantries and shelters around the Triangle.

The annual “Turkey Takeout” event provides turkeys, corn, bread and pies to be served to hungry people in the community. U.S. Foodservice has donated 1,250 pounds of corn toward the effort.

Meals will be distributed from 11 a.m. to noon from 1001 Blair Drive in Raleigh.

Turkey distribution will run from 11am – 12 pm on November 20 at the Inter-Faith Food Shuttle’s Raleigh location.
