NEW YORK — Former President Clinton and Rachel Ray honored five area schools Thursday for their participation in the healthy schools program.
The schools -- Hollister, Scotland Neck and Inborden elementary schools in Halifax County, Long Mill Elementary in Franklin County and Vaughn Elementary in Warren County -- are among 100 nationwide to be recognized for efforts to make their campuses into healthier places for students to learn and staff to work.
