Cargill supports Wake County tutoring programs

At Boys & Girls Clubs of Wake County, money from Cargill will go toward the Power Hour program. Power Hour is a year-round, incentive-based tutoring program for Boys & Girls Club members ages six to 18. Students receive homework assistance, and staff members track students’ progress and provide support.

Cargill also donated funds to the System’s School/Community Helping Hands Mentoring Program (S/CHHMP) of the Wake County Public School System, which provides support services to African-American male students. Funding from Cargill assisted the S/CHHMP with providing a North Carolina End-of-Grade Tutorial Program to create additional opportunities to prepare students for standardized testing.
