Gardeners encouraged to share with the needy

The "Plant a Row for the Hungry" campaign asks local green thumbs to consider donating some of their home-grown veggies to charity. Donations will be accepted at Logan's Trading Company Saturdays from 9 a.m. to noon and at the Inter-Faith Food Shuttle weekdays between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. through Sept. 26.

RALEIGH, N.C. — The "Plant a Row for the Hungry" campaign asks local green thumbs to consider donating some of their home-grown veggies to charity.

Donations will be accepted at Logan's Trading Company Saturdays from 9 a.m. to noon and at the Inter-Faith Food Shuttle weekdays between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. through Sept. 26.

Donations of seeds, gardening tools, canned and dried foods are also welcome.
