Durham student wins fellowship to study glaciers in Iceland
The Earthwatch Institute of Maynard, Mass., has selected Durham School of the Arts senior Will Jones as a 2009 national winner of an environmental research fellowship to study glaciers in Iceland this summer.
Posted — UpdatedDURHAM, N.C. — The Earthwatch Institute of Maynard, Mass., has selected Durham School of the Arts senior Will Jones as a 2009 national winner of an environmental research fellowship to study glaciers in Iceland. The research fellowship is part of Earthwatch's 2009 Student Challenge Award Program.
Will will join an international team of scientists and students for the environmental research during July in Iceland.
Will will graduate with honors arts distinction from Durham School of the Arts on Thursday and plans to attend Elon University this fall.
