CARTHAGE, N.C. — First Baptist Church in Carthage will be hosting programs to help residents deal with grief and loss.

Sandhills Mental Health is facilitating the program to include law enforcement, elected officials and members of the faith community.

The programs will be held from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. every Thursday in April at the church, 108 McNeill St.

Organizers say the events are not a forum to discuss the recent shooting deaths at Pinelake Health and Rehab Center. They hope to instead provide a catalyst towards healing.
