Services scheduled for former Raleigh radio host

CREEDMOOR, N.C. — Services will be held Tuesday for a former Raleigh radio personality who passed away last week.
Sonya Hamm, 49, died Thursday night. The cause of death has not been released.
A viewing was scheduled for noon at Christian Faith Center, 101 Peachtree St. in Creedmoor. Funeral services would follow at 1 p.m.
Hamm’s career in the Christian broadcasting industry spans more than two decades.
Hamm, a license ordained minister, was a popular host on Christian radio station WNNL 103.9 FM in Raleigh. Upon leaving Raleigh, she became the morning host and music director at Atlanta radio station Praise 97.5 FM.
In addition to her on-air jobs, Hamm owned SH Multimedia – a provider of national broadcasting and media services.
The Fayetteville State University graduate also served as a motivational speaker and author.
She also appeared in the 2007 Tyler Perry film “Daddy’s Little Girls.”
Hamm is survived by her husband Gary Hamm.
