Lottery transfers funds for education

The lottery earned more than $93 million for education in North Carolina between October and December.

RALEIGH, N.C. — The lottery earned more than $93 million for education in North Carolina between October and December. The North Carolina Education Lottery made its quarterly transfer of funds Tuesday.

The funds, transferred from the lottery to the Office of State Budget and Management, will be used for: More at Four; class size reduction; school construction; and need-based college scholarships.
