Turning House Millworks, located in Landis, deconstructs old mills and factories that are no longer used. Its sister company, Turning House Furniture, uses the old wood for new flooring and furniture.
"It really was a way to differentiate our company so that we'll be the only nationally distributed brand of lumber and on the furniture side solid wood furniture made from reclaimed wood," company CEO Spencer Morton III said.
Turning House Furniture, which will officially open in April at the High Point Furniture Market, also manufactures its furniture with reclaimed wood from Virginia and West Virginia.
The company uses vintage wood in its overseas productions.
