Posted — UpdatedRALEIGH, N.C. — The 20th annual Coats for the Children telethon held on Friday raised $52,000.
Since 1989, WRAL has collected more than 103,000 coats and raised $1 million to provide winter clothing for Salvation Army families.
Monetary donations will be collected by mail or online until Dec. 31. Donations of new or gently used coats are also needed.
