RALEIGH, N.C. — The Latta House Foundation held it’s 3rd annual &quot;Children's Storytime Under The Stars&quot; event Saturday night.

The event took place at Latta House, 1001 Parker St in Raleigh.

Media, non-profit executives and government officials read to children from Raleigh's homeless shelters, public housing and other special invited guests. WRAL-TV’s Dan Bowens was one of the readers this year.

The children enjoyed music, star gazing, prize drawings and milk and cookies.

The event was held in celebration of National Children's Book Week.
