DURHAM, N.C. — Dr. Jennifer Benjamin, a second-year neonatology fellow at Duke Children’s Hospital, has been granted $35,000 for research on the long-term prospects of premature infants.

Benjamin plans to study whether premature infants get more oxygen to the brain when sleeping on their stomachs or on their backs, and whether more oxygen leads to better development.
